Yeah, I got it quickly too. Allegedly kids get it quickly and adults struggle to find a pattern in the numbers. I do not think this is true.
Spoiler because pointing out there is a quick solution is a big clue.
You should perhaps keep that to yourself, sicko!I once ate 2 boxes of chocolate fingers in one go.

Curiously it was the numeral "1" in "16" that gave it to me almost immediately. Looking at a table of an Arial-style font it's because the "1" in Arial (which is probably the sans-serif font most of us have seen most often) has a tail. Flicking through the fonts on my computer I think the best bet would be Gill Sans:This is the version I was shown. It's a little easier as the fonts are distinctly upside down or at least a bit weird. I sought out a more ambiguous one.

Edit: I take it back, the fonts look weird when you rotate the image.

I'm no genius but am usually pretty good at these, I do have a mathematically biased brain. I have to say I was stumped and googled it. There are usually pretty basic things to try as mentioned by Adrian. I guess the trick is know the trick. Interestingly the number 87 is not readily inverted and it is suggested that L8 is what might actually be written in the box as viewed.
