Well I did this today, waved to lots of roadies/mtb's and general cyclists....had absolutley NO problems with motorists, even around the Goodwood festival escapees, and thoroughly enjoyed it too! 
I took about 3 hrs 10m, had 2 pieces of choccy cake, a flapjack, and 1.5 ltrs of water and fanta!
If you saw a yellow jersey, with a white box and blue writing - that was me!!
I'll be doing it again, because 45 miles is exactly the distance I'l do when we go to mother-in-laws, during the holidays!!
How am I doing...!????
