There is a crew launch on the 2nd? or 9th September - Soyuz TMA-18M - seems to be primarily to rotate the capsules (every 6 months) and a bit of a jolly for the Dane - Andreas Mogensen and Kazakhstan - Aidyn Akanovich Aimbetov (repacement for the Sarah Brightmen replacement) - the pilot Sergey Aleksandrovich Volkov is staying until December

Tim Peake is the first British Government funded astronaut in space. The other two were privately funded.

Have just innocently stumbled upon the Horizon special on utoob. Very nice.
There's a russian and an american on the course I'm doing at the moment. We keep getting put together for group exercises, so I'll see if we can watch the take-off together tomorrow. Though we've decided the Russian does not, so much, have a screw loose as one or two done up too tight.
