Anywhere decent to eat and drink in Llandudno on a Wednesday evening?

What's it like?

Is it as wild west as Newport, Gwent?

Fat Cat cafe bar had nice food the last time I was there, but that was about 18 months ago. I used to work in Llandudno so know it well but since moving I dont go there often.....even though its only a half hour drive away

The little kiosk halfway down the pier on the left-hand side sells the nicest icecream EVER

There are a small number of restraunts on the streets off the front and a stack of fish and chippy's. It's not a big town and the road parallel to the front and those leading to the front have most eateries on. Worth a wander, nice seaside town.

PS the Jet boat is AWESOME - doubt it will be running this time of year though

Don't get 'grab a granny'ed' !

I'm going with one of my (two) bosses. She's one of those Sex and the City types and though globally well travelled, UK-wise has only ever lived and socialised in London, Brighton and Edinburgh! So she'll be well at home in Llanduddno by the sounds of it! Hehehehe.

Oh boy is she in for a shock.................

Which hotel are you staying in btw?

*just realised that sounds pervy.....its not a chat up line, lol, just that I used to manage one and wondered......."Hotel Babylon" was always far nearer to fact than fiction, believe me.........

Oh your that end are you?? Youv quite a cycle ( ) into the center but will get to wave at the very cute Highland cattle as you pass Bodafon park

(and your a stones throw away from my Auntie)

Oh, and if you turn right when you come out instead of heading for LLandudno, at the bottom of the hill on the roundabout there is a very nice Chinese restaurant, cant remember what its called tho. Is a two minute drive from where your staying.

What a palaver just to disguise a weekend away with Greedo, User. Man The Puncture Up!

With the Gale Force winds we have today the cafe on top of The Great Orme would be an interesting venue.

There's also a pub next door!

Both venues are a bit naff (touristy) but the view is great and there's a proper pub by the tram station.

For a good meal, go to Bistro Bach on Chapel Street in Conwy. The atmosphere can be a bit chilled at times (especially if you sit in the conservatory) but the food is very good.
