There's a helpful pronunciation guide written on the station name board. AFAIR, the first two syllables should be pronounced (by us Saesnegs!) something like "Thlan-vire-...."

I visited LlanfairPG when I was about 9 (1954ish) - has it changed much?

Was there in May for a wedding, there is a small church, a hotel, a few houses as the doctor said a couple of cafe's a volvo garage, BP petrol station and a costcutter.

Was not born in 1954 (or for another 24 years) so couldn't say if it had changed.

I only support two teams;

Wales
& any team playing England;)

All the welsh (and scots) need to do if they want full independence is to make sure the referendum electorate is the whole of the UK. The English outnumber both by a big margin, and are certain to vote at least 9:1 for it!
