Hello,

I am toying with the idea of taking on Lon Las Cymru, from Holyhead to Cardiff.

I completed the Pennine Cycleway in September 2008 on my Raleigh MTrax hybrid. I was wondering if anybody that has done all or part of both routes could help me compare the two before I decide about Lon Las Cymru.

I've the newer maps and guide for Lon Las Cymru and from what I can tell it is the Welsh answer to the PCW.

Thanks

I did the Lon Las a few years ago (2003?) and found it quite tough, though that may in part be due to the foul weather we had.
I did the PCW, Derby to Berwick, in March this year, also in bad weather, March probably not being the best time to do it.
Despite the weather I enjoyed both, though the Welsh ride lacked the remotness often felt on parts of the PCW. In terms of hills, the LLC ride is pancake flat compared to the PCW!
