London Bike show

I am thinking of coming to London for the bike show. As I will be leaving and getting back home in the early hours of the morning I was thinking of taking the bike. I have tried the various sites to find a suitable route to the Excel centre from Euston station but they all seem rather complicated. Years ago, I walked from Little Venice to Brum via the Canals and then again down to the Thames but cannot remember the route (except it was in daylight). Can anyone tell me if (a) It is feasible and safe remembering that I will probably have to ride part off the way back to Euston in the dark. (b) Suggest a suitable route if (a) is feasible. Or in all honesty would it be better just to get the tube and DLR.

Just tried with bikehike (OSM cycle routing selected), the route it came up with seemed straightforward enough to me. Not been to ExCel but done O2-Waterloo a couple of times in late evening (much the same distance on much the same kind of roads) and it wasn't a problem. If you have a half-decent turn of speed it'll be as fast if not faster overall than the tube-DLR combo and a lot more convenient.

The canal route is slow but scenic. A road route will, as Stu says, most likely be quicker than tube and DLR.

For the canal route, you'll want a good headlight, obviously.

Thanks for all the replys but I think the bike is out this time, while I like London, I have rode through from Waterloo to Kings Cross before but I had plenty of time and it was daylight. Just about to run SWMBO has started up the Dyson.
