so, this afternoon, TC rode to Paddington to catch her train, and I accompanied her to the station. And, just as we rolled to a stop at the entrance to the concourse, there was DAYVO!

How cool is that - we met for the first time last night, and, co-incidence of co-incidence, he's walking across the station just as we arrived - thirty seconds either way and we would have missed him!

User, thanks your hand in making this another great CC gathering. I continue to be baffled how a random internet forum is able to connect a collection of such lovely, entertaining and friendly people. We could be speeding along a dark lane in the middle of the night, waiting in the cold in some deserted lay-by, helping each other out with a mechanical, sharing a hip flask and banter or relaxing after a long ride; the company is always a delight and it's what makes CC what it is.

Thanks for arranging this User - excellent choice of venue and the company was superb! Nice to meet a few new people and to catch up with everybody. I don't remember the entire journey home and am pretty sure I fell asleep on the tube at one point. Should have probably eaten more than one fishfinger and 1 potato wedge (the f-finger was awesome BTW).

Going by the pictures it looks and sounds like everyone had a great time last night and I fully approve of the Therapy? t-shirt  Hopefully I'll be able to make it along to any future nights.

yes, well done all, not sure I've ever seen a room full of such friendly people

I walked past a very convinient Farringdon station to very foolish get a Boris bike from Hatton Garden and ride a very wobbly zig zag ride to Liverpool Street with every other road user giving me the widest possible berth, I managed to miss Devonshire Road that I get all my morning Boris bikes from twice, meaning multiple U turns that had me a gnats from falling off, got on the 12.08 and thankfully the lady wife got on at Walthamstow and found me and woke me up in time to get off at Highams Park, I had a pint after the football today and went to sleep in a room full of people and noise

Did anyone else get sweet pea's laser surgery story told to them (it was good mind, just graphic)

Yes great to meet a few of you trying to match the faces, names to forum names etc unlike Tynan I sensibly got the tube to Walthamstow and popped into my local for one which was a massive one got in at 1 45am oh well! ( ps my local never calls time ) Thought I wasn't doing too bad cycling most days from leafy cosmopolitan Walthamstow to the ghetto of Westminster then Tynan in his Burnley top started going about night rides to the coast etc wtf I thought.... ianrauk then chipped in with his 18 miles each way!!! Finally, I did learn one thing last night the winters in Norway are cold !( well he does support Spurs, cheers Davyo lol )

Just to echo everyone's comments above!

My girlfriend thought I was mad on wanting to come over for, what is, in essence, a virtual party: it was actually a thoroughly enjoyable evening with a lot of laughs and witty banter, meeting old friends and making new ones.

I felt spoilt for choice in deciding on whose company I was to spend time with (a bit like clicking on the 'what's new' link at the top of the page to see what was going on elsewhere), but I wasn't wanting in any department: everyone, bar none, was a genuine pleasure to talk to.

BIG thanks to User for the taking the initiative and organising a great get-together. And thanks to everyone else for being there. Sorry that some of the other couldn't make it for some reason or another.

Having spent several unsuccessful hours looking out for cyclists wearing a CC jersey on the streets of London, imagine my surprise and pleasure when two recognisable faces (and stalwarts of CC) ride into my field of vision in the shape of TC and Dell! I had only met them for the very first time the evening before and there we were again exchanging greetings. How nice was that?
