I'm over it OK; not a problem!
Nevertheless, if we didn't cycle so close it could be a better experience & encourage people to do it again. Also, spreading out more would mean we could occupy more of the road & have more impact. I guess the police wanted to minimise the distruption!

Understandable? yes.
I would not support disruption for it's own sake but, in the same way that a trade union might go on strike, sometimes disruption can be effective.
Even more effective would be a no cycling day; imagine if every cyclist commuted by car for one day (I don't drive so I'd take a taxi. The gridlock might make a lot of motorists appreciate cyclists a bit more?

I have no doubt: they are us. Nevertheless their purpose may not be the same as ours, they will have received orders of some kind.
