I haven't read the whole thread so forgive me that. Despite being a south-west boy - it's where I was brought up and still live and preferably would want to stay if in England. However, my ancestry on my father's side is all London and on my mum's side, all Irish, but her generation were London Irish so second generation.

Whatever people say I love London; it's a great city with a lot to offer. The friends and relatives I have there I hold in the highest regard and some of them would never have it any other way - the thought of leaving London would be unthinkable to them, and I respect that. London is diverse and in London you find what you want; innovation and cosmopolitan attitude count for a lot when you've grown up in parts of the country where ignorance of others is so rife.

If I was to move away from the SW, I would have to move somewhere where access to London as a city made the move worthwhile. That's all.

One of the worst things about London is there are so many tourists dragging stupid suitcases round on sticks behind them, never stopping o think that the case is taking up the space of another person and is basically a mobile trip hazard.
