a decent-paced schlep if anybody's interested. Start about 7 or 7.30. Weather looks cold but fine.

Ramsgate - home of the replica Daily Mail Viking boat and a disused hovercraft landing area.

Count me in. I'm assuming a HPC departure?
Not really. I'd go through Greenwich - would that be ok for you?

Miss TF - about 15/16mph on the flat. One stop, possibly at Sittingbourne Tesco's (we really know how to live life) or Faversham. If we get through Greenwich at 8 we'll get to Ramsgate at about 3. Some hills, including Shooters Hill, a climb from Greenwich, a really horrible long drag at Dunkirk, traffic east of Rochester (unless I risk everybody's liberty by going through the Medway Tunnel), traffic in Canterbury, tea and cakes overlooking Ramsgate harbour. I'll endeavour to call you later.

User10571 the All-Wise has just texted me to say that there is a bus replacement service from Ramsgate to Minster, which is a six mile haul from Ramsgate - so we're looking at about 85 miles from HPC. Alternatively we could just ride to Minster - because the roadworks west of Ramsgate make any kind of recce worthless. It would be a shame to miss out on Ramsgate, though. What it lacks in charm it makes up for in old people.

No problem - I can be at Greenwich/Cutty Sark just before 8 am.

Riding a folding bike far too much of the time...
Might join you for the Sittingbourne to Ramsgate/Minster section as I am housesitting just outside Sittingbourne. Only problem is the only bike I have access to is the 'Pink and Green' Lady. Let me know what you think and what time you think you will be in Sittingbourne.
