Sorry chaps. Im out.
Bloody @User10571 decides to do his first night ride in gazonks and I can't make it. Typical.
I am touched by your disappointment.
FWIW, I am equally crestfallen that our paths are unlikely to cross on this ride.
An extra biggly man-hug awaits you, the next time we meet
Or we could do the presidential hand shake thing.... like a tug-o-war.... but less/fewer (options for the grammer pedants) orange....

See you on the road.

In on fixed?
Hmmm. Wasn't planning to as I'll be at the front. But seeing as we could be taking the Strawberry Hill variation instead of Basser, I might re-think. Getting up Bysing Wood on the way back on a 67" gear would be, well, entertaining :-)

Heh!
I've done various bits of the ride on fixed, but never all of it.
Given the absence of Basser Hill, I feel I owe it to the ride to give it a go (with reservation of the right to change my mind at the last moment)
What is this 'on the way back' of which you speak?
I can see me deploying the 24" gear on Bysing Wood. If I was riding it....

Des has done it, as has MikeE, probably amongst one or two others...
Why am I even asking the question......
I'll go with fixed until such time as someone drums some sense into my head.

Oh! BTW. I've not been on a bike in the past 5 weeks...
What could possibly go wrong?

Do you mean Raspberry Hill Lane? I can't find a nearby Strawberry. If so, I'll join the fixed contingent.
Raspberry Hill it is.
Its good to know someone is on the ball with the navigations.....

Why are you booking?
Does the ticket price drop with a booking?
I've only ever 'turned up and ride'.
