Hi folks do 10.7miles from Walthamstow to Westminster anyone else from WF do similar? Lea Bridge Rd, diagonally across Downs Park in Hackney > King Henrys Walk > Islington Essex Rd > ( avoid busy Upper Street retail area with detour via Colebrooke Row ) > St Johns St > Smithfield meat market ( walk through or risk £30 fine ) saddle up south down Farringdon Rd > Blackfriars > Victoria Embankment ... occasionally stop for random pint(s) lol....

I set off from Highams Park going to London Bridge, I've chopped and changed a lot and do still on a whim and depending on traffic and wind but my regular route in is Hoe Street, Lea Bridge Road down to the end, Mare Street, Cambridge Heath Road to the Mile End Road and then into the city from there, it minimises lights and turnings and is mostly bus lane

I used to swing wider via Whipps Cross, Green Man rab and Leytonstone High Road and Stratford but I got tired of the mongs on Leytonstone High Road

You must almost pass by me then as I am almost a neighbour , Winchester Rd > Forest Rd/ Queenswood Ave by any chance... now and again go in Royal Oak pub

Winchester Road is at the end of my road

barring the odd trip to the Oak (for local colour a la Slaughtered Lamb) I'm a County Arms man, it's slightly less worse

exactly the counter flow, the traffic was ok, it was peds and most especially the car unloading outside the corner shop that came within an ace of dooring me twice in a few months, and there was too much lazy left and right turns when Northbound too

hang on, Beech Hall Road is the end of my road

please don;t tell me you ride up Winchester Road, I don;t even like driving up that road, too narrow, parked cars everywhere and buses

Hi Beech Hall Rd yeah deffo a neighbour in fact spent New years eve 1999 in County Arms go in now again you probs go down Hale End Rd then, my daughters go to Thorpe Hall Sch. No dont cycle down Winchester Rd am just over the north circular you would either go down Hale End Rd or cut through Forest Rd round the bend to Queenswood Ave ( where I live ) ...

Hale End Road indeed, down to the Billet rab and then on to Hoe Street etc etc

Slightly better maybe - from Hale End Rd you go down Wood St turn right into Barret Rd ( opposite Pig n Whistle pub ) few yards swing left onto Greville Rd onto Shernall St then you are Lea Bridge rd vitually traffic free .

You going to Christmas bash, am hoping to...
