If I can get hold of a small paper Union flag, then I might go to the rowing club (and if anyone is about) tomorrow, take out an Alden and sellotape the flag to the back, in a show of ironic grandeur*.


* The Alden is the beginner's boat and is called a 'Tub', so to have a flag on it will be taking the pis* in a gentle way!
Actually, I like the Aldens - you can really throw them about without risk of capsizing the damn thing!
