Longs/tights for the larger cyclist

Hi all, as title I am on the lookout for mens long cycling tights but, being the awkward so and so that I am I can't stand bib style so they need to be waist tights. I've had a pair of Crane-branded ones for years (Aldi's own brand) which were sized Large and they still fit me several waist size increases later, which does mean they were somewhat too large to begin with but by the standards of today they'd be XXXXL. I've ordered Altura 2XL and even tried Decathlon and Under Armour running longs (I ride a recumbent so don't need padding) but 2XL of theirs are too flippin' small.
For reference I'm 6ft 4in tall, currently 18 stone with a 40" waist. The waist isn't the chief issue, they're just too bloody tight everywhere or, in the case of the Altura ones, the ankle cuff wouldn't even go over my heel.
Recommendations welcomed.

Youre the same height as me (but youre 1.5 stones lighter and I have a 36 waist) and I also struggle with this.

They're either too short, or else long enough but unable to accommodate muscly legs. Like you, I've also found the Crane jobs to be one of rhe better fits, but Ronhill Bikesters are ok too if you can find them.

Lusso and Tudor are worth a look (and made in UK, I think), but both seem to be in short supply right now.
Tudor size guide can be taken with a pinch of salt; XXL claim to be 31" inside leg, but are OK for my 33".
If in doubt, maybe contact the makers.

I've recently spoken to Lusso, if you order at least two garments, will do bespoke extra long for you. Not actually tried them yet though.

Thanks for your replies, nearly all of the suppliers appear to make far more options in Bibs so I might have to give them a look again. It's just that every time in the past when I've used them I just get eveything zipped up and in place and snug............and I need to pee!!!!!

There are some big blokes on this forum. Note to self, be nice to them. :surrender:

You can't get them any more. Ronhill Tracksters make a fair substitute. I wear them with a pair of braces as I find the waist a tad low.

Aye, been out of production a good while but NoS stuff crops up now and again. They wear very well so are worth a punt used.
