Here's a couple that I stole myself....
Currently fixed to the ceiling in my bike shed/room. I wild camped at the top of Holme Moss the night before the race with my two sons, having ridden up there, fully loaded, from Glossop. Spotted the signs as soon as I arrived and instantly thought they had my name on them.... Unfortunately they were fixed to brand new wooden posts with 10mm headed wood bolts.
As luck would have it, I still carry a 10mm spanner in my bike tool kit despite no bike in the fleet having 10mm nuts since 1856..... Once we finished cooking on the BBQ we burnt the posts in the pot to keep warm after dark. Gets cold on the moors at night and we were mighty popular with other campers once the flames appeared
Don't think I could ever sell them to a collector because of the memories. Kids will probably want them when I'm gone?
