Looking for a cheap comfortable lightweight mount

Many thanks, gentlemen, for your further suggestions which I shall now chew over. I'm inclined to keep my "Sunday best" bike as it is after all the trouble my son went to in renovating it. I think I shall really need to go to a large dealer myself and have a good look round, asking lots of questions as I go. Unfortunately, living as I do on the Isle of Wight, it will involve quite a long journey for me.
