Looking for Eric???

I am 'Sky plussing' it as it is on Film 4 and the Mrs is watching some generic US crime drama...

I always hated C*ntona when he was a player (and still chuckle at his eurostar adverts), but since I saw his lighter side at a beach football tournament in brighton a while back I sort of took an interest and my hatred faded

So has anyone seen it?

Is it worth a watch or am I likely to hate him again?

I don't know, but his 'acting' effort in the Elizabeth movie (the first part) was pretty cringe-worthy, I thought. But then, you're not meant to take that film seriously, are you?

It's a Ken Loach film so it's not all easy watching, but Cantona is one of the better bits in it.

Useless piece of info: Steve Evets (the actor who played the main character) didn't know it was Eric Cantona appearing as himself in the film, Loach kept that a surprise until the first scene with him and Cantona so as to capture the look of surprise on his face.
