Looking for events.

Hi there all, I was wanting to know whet with find various cycling events that may be being organised. Just been checking out the cycle chat cafe on here and am really envious of some of the pictures posted of events other members have taken part in. Still a beginner but can manage 50 mile no problem. Is there a specific place or website I need to be looking at to find them?

Hello Mikey, Bike events offer a range of events at differing distances. Most are sponsored rides for charities.---http://www.bike-events.com/
Or you could join the CTC and ride with your local group---http://www.ctc.org.uk/
You don't say where you hail from, but there should be a local club somewhere nearby.Try the British Cycling site and take it from there--http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/

FYI as regards Bike Events 'charity' rides, not one penny of your entry fee goes to any charity, it is all used by Bike Events in the staging of the event, and if any other of their rides are like the Manchester to Blackpool then they are over subscribed and therefore a nightmare to ride.

That may or may not matter to you, just saying so you're aware of it
