I agree with this. If you pass your test at the age of 17 and then get retested when you retire at the age of 65 (going up now though) then you have your whole life to learn bad traits and forget things. Retesting regularly would be a whole lot better.I still believe all drivers should have a 3, or 5, year retest to keep their license.
Any one who thinks they might fail shouldn't be driving anyway.
The only reason I am getting my license now is that I heard a rumor that soon you will have to have a compulsory 12 months tuition before you can take your test. I see that as a bit excessive and expensive so I plan to do a weeks intensive and possibly continue with weekly lessons after that.
BTW is Pass Plus discounted if you do it immediately after you pass your normal test and what cost is it?
