From Lincolnshire to Dorset for family reasons. What's the riding like down there and are there lots of cafés?

Oh, and isn't it a bit bloody hilly?

Only a little bit. You'll barely notice.

It's a beautiful county.

Isn't Dorset the one with that rude chalk figure?

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Isn't everywhere hilly, when compared with Lincolnshire?
Lincolinshire has some Wolds, and a bloody great ridge running for miles across the county. Lincoln cathedral is at the top of a hill as fearsome as anything in Dorset.

Thank you for making that point.

It also has some very long straight roads that only ever go in a head wind direction. I admire any cyclist from Boston who have to cycle a 7 mile straight road to get any where interesting to ride. Having rode many time trials in the area I know how soul destroying they can be.

Although I have been in Lincolnshire only 25 years I still sometimes think I should have gone Dorset way when I relocated.
