Just been offered a new job closer to home so think I will be getting to work on the bike again and I cant wait. I started the job I am in at the moment in Feb and it was just that little bit to far to cycle (30 miles each way on the motorway), and I hated having to drive to work. \new job is a lot closer (18 miles each way) so will be able to cycle again and looking forward to it so much. Also hopefully this place will be a much nicer place to work than where i am now.

You're just showing off aren't you... 18x2 is a good distance

Used to do 18 each way from Timperley to Bolton, really miss that distance because the 6 miler i do now only just gets me warmed up before i've got to my destination.

and why not, 36 a day is a good workout, I'm not sure I'd want to go back to that sort of distance, I'd do it but with trepidation. I really fancy about 25 per day, enough to give you a workout but not enough to dampen your weekend ride enthusiasm.

Mine should be a 40 mile round trip but I tend to cut about 30 out of that by getting on the train ;)

Still yet to do a full round trip on the bike!

Cor, you'll be in tip-top shape come summer bud. All the best on the new job.

I do 24 miles, 5 days a week and I don't have any ethusiasm left for weekend jaunts.
