Had it out tother day, all seemed OK, climbed back on after a short stop, display is in, pedal away...errr no assist.
The torque sensor removed from crankset 'looks' ok, removed battery, refitted, removed display, refitted, checked plug connector, all visibly ok, no visible damage

I must admit, I never particually took care with it, its used all weathers, never spared it so perhaps thats the result.

One thing I need to investigate..the battery carrier has two cables go in the bottom and they're quite free to move around (not glanded or sealed), might be a.loose or broken wire in there.

Not heartbroken, its a tool, I used it, partly abused it...time to get my late wife's out and use.
Anyone had similar ? All looks OK but no power generated at the motor. ?

Well, after various checks, none very technical, i saw the same gen 1 bike advertised 20 miles away...less than 2k miles on it, fairly good condition, rear brake seems a bit soft, tyres need replacing...but £350, I can swap parts out and see if its the controller, battery or whatever thats stopping mine.
Id sooner get mine going, its well used and using it thro winter seems a better idea, keep this 'new' one for the spring...IF i can get the old one going.
Been out on the 'new' one this afternoon, all working quite well.

Good plan - might be worth getting a multi-meter and checking wires and connections. I'd recommend giving any connectors a darn good spray with electrical contact cleaner - it's pretty magic stuff - it fixed my laptop after spilling wine on it, it kept an old car's airbag sensor from going wonky, and it's just helped with a 'electrical warning' on my van - turns out the connector to the Intelligent Battery Sensor was a bit dirty.
