Loosing the showers

Got an e-mail today at work, upgrades to the showers as there is an increase in demand. Currently we have 4 mens and 2 ladies.
Getting a shower before 9am is pretty much impossible, must be about 50 - 60 guys showering each day.
So the ladies is moving else where and the mens is merging with the current ladies. More lockers being put in and more space for changing and hanging up clothes.

Only downside is this is going to take 5 weeks, with no shower access during that time period
The upside is towels will still be provided and there is a single shower on each floor, however they are like steam rooms!

run/cycle/swim. I think a handful take a shower if they woke up late and didn't have time for one at home.

we have approx. 400 on site.....three showers plus 1 disabled shower.......less than 50 lockers.......over fifty cyclists/runners......i'm glad I get to work early for a 7 oclock start.

You have showers? I dont even have a proper bicycle locking facility. I have to use the railings outside the staff mobile (I put it there because there is always someone about on break, etc).
At college I have locked bicycle cages and there are showers but as I am not a member of staff, I am not entitles to use the showers. I cant even use the ones in the Sports centre because I am not on a sport course.

Only 1. And in my 4 years of commuting to this location, I have only once seen a guy use it. And it was for drying his clothes not his hair.

When they changed the hot water system at work, they "forgot" about the showers in the change rooms, 3 weeks later after about 20 emails from me asking what was happening they had installed the worlds worst electric showers, soon afterward they developed a fault where they would go from cold to scalding (and I mean seriously too hot) and back again randomly.

Hehe I've used the hand dryers to dry my clothes a few times.

I mostly avoid the showers at work... on account of the fact poo back flows up the drains in the cubicle. My workplace has expanded significantly in the past 20 years, however nobody has thought to improve the drainage or water supply.

I tend to wash in the sink by the toilets, then towel off.
