Lost Prophets - is it still ok to listen to their stuff?

first album was ok i guess, couple of decent tunes. but tbh i think even his band mates want it dead and buried. when this was all announced they must have by association just gone "lostprophets is dead, lets move on"
there's no way a band can survive something like that its PR hell.

The abuse was apparently so bad that the jury were offered counselling and some evidence could not be shown

That would be the jury that never heard any evidence would it?

But on Tuesday – after jurors had been warned they would have to examine some very disturbing images and arrangements had been made for them to receive counselling after the trial – Watkins and the women pleaded guilty to almost all the charges against them.

They were implying that the comment about counselling was completely unfounded. It didn't actually happen, but that was only because of the last minute guilty plea. It was going to be needed, and it was going to be provided. And that is what I just said!

It would be good if legally he could no longer receive any royalties but that won't happen.

There is no problem with that. His victims can sue him and recover their compensation out of his share of the royalties - and I would expect them to do so. He isn't due for sentencing for three weeks, but IME he is looking at a double-digit prison term and being bankrupt by the time he gets out.

The reason that people get murdered is because other people decide to murder them. Yes, the fact that the killers get rich from murdering them is a consequence of the drug laws.

I actually believe that all drugs should be legalised for adults and the money currently spent on ineffective policing of drug laws should be spent trying to educate people that drug use really isn't a great idea.

The conservatives used to try to educate people to the dangers of drugs in the 90s. Endless leaflets in schools telling people the effects of controlled substances, the dosage where they began to have an effect and the dosages where they became dangerous etc. Many users saw them as hidden instructions on how to take drugs. Personally I think the real agenda was to solve the unemployment problems of many cities.

Arrangements being made in case something has happened is very different from the thing actually having happened
