After watching a video on Youtube -

- about Loudon Castle, it's made me want to go there. It was closed down in 2010, some rides were taken away, the gates were unlocked and it was abandoned. It's just a ghost town now. Really cool.

Hoping to go there this/next week, planning to cycle there with one of my friends. It's around 20 miles away, so 40 mile round trip. I promise to get lots of pictures for you!

People used to slag off that place because it was crap, but to me, it closing was such a shame - It used to be a destination for day trips with kids and other young adults who had cancer when I volunteered at Clic Sargent House Prestwick.

Beleive me, there are the squeals and cries of delight from thousands of kids and adults alike bound up in practically every one of those pictures there. Such a place of happiness lost and it is made all the more poignant for me because, some of the kids I worked with probably aren't about any longer.

Also, you know that contra-rotating planet thing with the swings attached to it? Well, I remember one day, we were the on a warm day, and we as a group went on this thing. As we did, the heavens opened and we all got soaked in a torrential downpour which only lasted as long as we were on the ride.

Did any of us care? No, it was just so refreshing and with the fun sensation of flying through the air to boot!

I think the people waiting to get on after us must have thought we were all a bunch of idiots as we walked off, soaked to the skin but with massive grins on our faces!
