Is there not a bit of confusion here?
A number of acts sing a song - the public vote on their favourite by phone.
The one with the least drops out (or the judges choose from the two with the least).
There is nothing in the formula that says that the worst two will get the fewest votes.
So what is the problem?
BTW - if the tuneless duo win it will cost Cowell millions as they will not sell any quanitity of records as many of the past winners have.
