Not to sure?
.....T**T!

Not that I am a fan of X-Factor you understand, but how in heavens names can he criticise other acts 'coz "they cannot sing", when he is endorsing those pair of bungling pair of halfwits John and Edward?

The whole affair stinks of being a conspiracy?

Look at last weeks show for example. The young Welsh girl was a thousand times better than the dimwit twins, yet according to the "public's vote", she had the least amount of votes?

Come on, lets get real......

Rant over......sorry.

Insidious, isn't it.

Carefully planned and marketed crap to get money from children - after all they are the ones most likely to buy that type of music, aren't they?

And adults with the mind of one?

I don't know how anyone can stand to watch the show. In some ways I quite like the premiss but the way the show is done is just awful.

Its pantomime. Complaining about it isn't going to make it better, as it is what it is. its tried and tested formulaic TV, with Mr Walsh playing the part. ITS AN ACT

Just use the off button. So what if it is just a way to lever money from the vacant, it's not my problem.

Its like Jon Sargent and Come Strictly - it is the public shafting the programme and showing just how fickle they are... no interest in real talent - this is a "Benidorm song"

Just think of all the "Summer songs" that started off on the Costas and then became successes when the Club 18-30 returned and bought them. The only difference is that instead of buying the song they are voting!

Agreed. Watched it one year and found it mildly entertaining, then started to watch it a second year, realised it was just more of the same and got bored straight away. Never watched it since because apart from the fact that it's boring, the young hopefuls who are being exploited and humiliated obviously don't realise its all just a big act based around the over inflated egos of the panel.

I am sure its mostly staged, although Mr Walsh being a Tw*t is more than likely 100% naturally him, no acting at all!

anyone who thinks tv is not manipulated by the producers is mistaken. even back in 1987 when a friend and i appeared on blockbusters, it was apparent that the number of big winners and player turnover was strategically managed. you didn't go on when it was 'your turn', you got told to go on when the producers wanted.

we were fortunate to enter the game after a turnover period, and due to our decent general knowledge got to gold run 4/5 with a minor scare in the 4th the only thing to worry us. for the 5th, we were pitched against a girl who was certainly not picked for her ability at the game (nice person though), and we of course sailed through to win the 5th gold run.

whilst i'm not saying we didn't deserve our success, it was helped in part by the fact that the producers wanted a big win, thought us capable, and did their best at the end to make it so.

simon cowell's softening of his approach to jedward is manipulating the viewing public twofold; one to appear more 'in tune' with the public, two to deter the 'anti simon' brigade from voting for jedward just to piss him off…

Trading standards would be down on any other business targetting children like this, but they seem to get away with it?

What a stupid thing to say.
