Love Channel?

Anyone got any thoughts on seats for a road bike, and specifically one with a 'Love Channel' - which my mate keeps banging on about? I recently changed bikes (got a Planet X C18 - in there pre christmas sale - which I am very happy with). But I think they went cheap on the seat (which considering its got some Dura Ace components on for less than £1000 I cant grumble about I guess). Ive been getting strange bum pains since Ive been increasing my ride times, so I think its time to purchase a new seat. Any thoughts on brands of seat to get me started?

I'm happy with my Specialized Toupe. Most comfortable saddle I've ever owned by a big margin. They come in 2 widths so make sure you get fitted at the shop for one, don't assume a big arse means you'll need the wider saddle. My arse is huge but I needed the slimmer version.

If the Toupe is a bit expensive for your tastes the Specialized Avatar is similar but cheaper, and even cheaper yet, the Charge Spoon, which gets good reviews.

Also remember that set up plays a big part in comfort and it may take time to find the best saddle position for you. Angling the saddle even just a degree or two, or moving it back or forwards on the rails by as little as a couple of mm, can turn a torture device into an armchair.
