So i bought a Scott 60 yesterday because i really need to lose alot of weight... since im 256 lbs at only age 17. I drove 42km in 2 days now. I know its not alot but something atleast. But the more i drive my bike the more i start to like it? I know its just an ''item'' but i feel like it's my friend lol. Sorry if i sound like im nuts. It was like 400euros, i know its not some pro bike but still a decent one. And it looks really cool too.

Good luck with it, admitting you have a problem is the first step! You sound like you will be ok, and yes, we all love our bikes!

By the way, I don't mean to be a pedant, but it is ride, not drive

You mean "love" like drying your bike before you dry yourself, letting you bike in the living room because outside is cold, buying your bike nice accessories, cleaning your bike after every puddle?
Uhmmmm, not me :becool:

It gets worse..
My recent accident left me with a broken collar bone and injured hip and ankles. The paramedic told me that he would need to cut my lovely Garmin jersey to get it off. My reply was he could take my arms off rather than damage my jersey. Then whilst sat in the back of the ambulance, the same paramedic asked what I was so interested in outside.. my answer of "I'm making sure the Police officer is gentle with my bike" probably confirmed his suspicions of my mental state.
That said, I was taking full advantage of the gas and air.. that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Hey, bikes are very well behaved in the living room! They don't even complain when you flip channels on the TV. However, the pile of inner tubes awaiting depuncturising on the floor will try to trip you up from time to time. But even then, they're less trouble than a cat.

I totally understand the 'love my bike' thing. I once shared a studio flat with three bikes and a frame.
I know someone who shared a flat with three bikes and two recumbent trikes!!!
You're not alone in this...
