I sometimes fry up a batch of liver to put in the freezer for the dog... only problem is, most of it never makes it as far as the freezer, coz I eat it all. Lovely stuff!!!!!!!!!

but don't like the bitter taste or vulcanized-rubber texture.

Liver-loving friends assure me it's just because I've never tasted it "done properly".


Liver if cooked too long does go a bit rubbery. The best way is to flash fry it on both sides with some seasoned flour and then serve with whatever veg you like. My choice would be with mash and red onion gravy.

Thing is I keep hearing it calling out to be eaten before it gets cold.......
