The smells of a new car, coffee and baking bread are the holy grails of the perfume industry. They've got pretty close but not close enough to fool the human nose.

I've always loved the smell of nail varnish. Also that kind of glue that I think is called 'dope', as used for sticking balsa models together.

Long Black hair
Freshly cut grass
Cooking EL34 Valves
Christmas trees
Bluebells
Aniseed whirls
Leather
Those yellow Rape seed fields
My guitars which each have an individual scent
pear drops
Hops
Cypress pine trees
The Ocean
Dusky guitar cases
Smell of a new car
Fast flowing rivers
Fresh mountain air

Yuk yuk yuk!

Behind a dog's ears.
'Intuition' by Estee Lauder...I have samples..
Coffee
Sawing oak by hand
Cinquante et un - THE aperitif
Laphroaig (although I'm not fussy after the first pint)
Used to like Issy Miyake ladie's perfume, Ysatis, all sorts of odd things like that as a direct result of painting a mural for a wholesaler of the stuff, before it became 'mainstream'. He gave me as much product as I fancied, it was a good exercise spotting it 'en plein air' and endeared me (did you ever ) to women sporting such scents. I got into terrible trouble with some perfume called 'Red Door' I think.
Any red wine
Oil paint - primed canvas, varnishing day, the whole experience.
Dev and Fix strangely enough - and the 10 x 8 coming through the dryer. The darkroom is a mysterious place. (Cherry cake is but a scratch on the surface Sig - we know you have a secret life  )
HO & OO railway engines. That engineery - but not quite smell that comes from them.
Stopping now - otherwise I'll be here all night. Off to sniff my Boys Own Annual 1913-1914 (year of your birth, rich) - now, there's another thing - books...gawd blimey!
