Low salt bread/cheese/butter

I have high blood pressure whether I have salt or not, and I've recently gone back to real butter, as margarine tastes like oil, not butter.

I've recently gone back to eating butter and drinking full fat milk. Now I don't feel the need to snack as much as I'd done in the past, aiding in weight-loss, generally feeling better and enjoying eating more (pleasure, not quantity).

maybe just avoid adding salt to normal food- eg spuds, pasta, rice etc, which you get used to then not worry so much about cheese or bacon which are both inherently salty. This isn't medical advice of course and as far as I know my BP is OK, but the less salt generally thing is something I somewhat accept

The Bread maker was next on the list for me for exactly the reason mentioned, and as far as adding salt to my diet I never have, the only reason I have salt in the house is to keep my paths clear in winter. I think the main problem with salt for me was bread/cheese and just junk food and lack of fruit and veg. I've since found that the potassium in fruit and veg has the affect of removing salt from your body so I was attacking myself on both fronts and have also found that doing lots of exercise can also lower potassium levels. I cover between 10 and 15 miles a day at a pace whilst carrying and lifting 3 to 4 ton of materials through out the day (local council recycling).
No one in the family has had any problems with blood pressure so I'm guessing it's just crappy life style choices that said I've just had blood tests to rule out bigger problems so fingers crossed and salt may not be the problem.

Some of the stuff I've found to contain salt amazes me yogurt, fruit juice, drinking chocolate just a few.

As Over the hill said I think I should go back to a simpler diet.

Cheers all
