My local bike shop runs a loyalty scheme and it would appear my email address is linked to someone elses account so I have over £6 in credit to use in store.

Now, I have a moral dilemma. Do I fess up and get it sorted or enjoy the free discount?

Fess up, the LBS may honour the discount due to your honesty

The £6 in credit through the loyalty scheme belongs to whoever has the account that your email is wrongly linked to.
It's not your money to claim. It's basically theft if you spend it.
I find it difficult to comprehend how anyone could see this differently.

It may turn out that you're in the same position. Someone else has your account linked to their e-mail address.

£6? Why are you even considering not confessing?

Fess up of course! What is the minimum amount you would be prepared to risk a criminal record for?
£6.00? Seriously?

Well it’s pretty conclusive... 22 to 2.

I was siding on the side of fess up and as I’m off the bike for a while as my plantaris (little muscle in back of knee) has gone pop and is all swollen I will just have to pop in and do a bit of retail therapy.
