I think I used ky by mistake today. Got shafted twice - both times by peeps on crusty mtbs. Grrrrrr.
Normally I use finish line dry or wet depending on weather.

Does anyone still use bike oil for lubricating chains any more? Everyone seems to use wet and/or dry lubes now with little mention of oil, what are the advantages?
I believe i got it inside the chain for the following reasons; putting the chain between the two big cogs opens the links up to allow a space for the grease to get in.
I can't see how that works. The rear mech will still be taking up the tension.

I gave up with wet lube - although you may think that you spend less time cleaning and applying wet compared to dry, in reality I don't believe that is the case. Wet lube becomes a gooey mess and takes ages to clean properly.

joking aside i use finish line wet, now i travel a very muddy and dusty route (farmers roads) and i do find the wear to be pretty bad.
i may consider dry when i switch my freewheel and chain soon.

I use Finish Line wet lube all year round, in all weather. But don't take any advice from me - I'm shockingly remiss when it comes to cleaning my bikes. I just bung on a bit more lube every so often.

Dry lube here, currently on Weldtite TF2 which seems pretty good in spray form.

I am a convert to spray on. I think it reaches all of your chain much easier than drip on. You can then wipe off the excess if you wish to stop it attracting carp.

I wonder if you could just pour existing lube into a spray bottle?
