Lucky Charm

Hi all

I'm new to this site & new to cycling, just wondered if anyone else carried a lucky charm with them while cycling ?, I've been riding for around 3 weeks & I always carry a cooked sausage in my bum bag, not to eat, just to keep me safe, may sound a bit odd but I always feel safer riding that way.

When I go riding I wear a chain around my neck with the following medallions on it:

Green Man - To protect me
Cerne Abbas Giant - To remind me I need to man up
MedicAlert - In case the others don't work

I've never been inclined to have a lucky charm, and sods law would be, as soon as I get one, something bad will happen.

I'dd eat the sausage and hope for the best but not after 3 weeks cause something bad would most certainly happen

There is no such thing as good or bad luck,things just happen,that`s the way it is.

Same with superstitions,what a load of cobblers,l.ike don't walk under ladders and saluting bloody magpies and all that rubbish.I have never sought to such drivel and never will..................................touch wood.

I wear dog tags like THIS embossed with emergency information.

Hopefully in the event that their use was needed they'd prove 'lucky' for me getting the treatment I needed in time.

Now't wrong with bumbags. I have a big one from the 90's that is great for MTB rides where I need to carry a bit more stuff than will fit in shirt rear pockets.
