Thanks for all your comments, in response to roadrash, its usually just a standard port sausage from asda or if I'm celebrating, I may push to a pork with caramelised onion

funnkkymonkey - I tend to keep it hidden away & keep it fresh so I can consume the sausage at the end of my ride, also this avoids chance of exposing myself (or my sausage), don't wanna end up on that register again :-\

On some of my longest rides I have taken "Chef", my little leprechaun cuddly toy... he faces backwards and always has a chirpy grin, even after several hours stuck behind my windy ass!

I find pork and apple to be more lucky when avoiding punctures

If you think about all the fellow cyclists we pass during our commute to work, a race or just a leisurely ride on a warm sunny evening surely somebody somewhere is smuggling a sausage about there person... infact is it possible that there is a secret sausage smuggling society out there and if so is alan there leader...

how can carrying the parts of murder'd animals around with you be seen as Lucky? i.e. rabbits foot, sausage etc.

if I was superstitious, it would make more sense to carry something that had a sentimental value to it.

Hi all

I'm new to this site & new to cycling, just wondered if anyone else carried a lucky charm with them while cycling ?, I've been riding for around 3 weeks & I always carry a cooked sausage in my bum bag, not to eat, just to keep me safe, may sound a bit odd but I always feel safer riding that way.

Alan
That's the wurst superstition I've ever come across.
