My stepson is on his 2nd back packing trip at the moment .

And arrived in kathmandu only earlier this week and late yesterday moved on to Pokhara yesterday to Trek the Himalaya's up to Annapurna base camp .

Imagine our reaction when we heard first thing this morning about the earthquake , that must count as a lucky escape for him never mind the hundreds of others that survived .

Quick update there have been a couple more earth quakes and everyone has to evacuate the buildings just in case .

Not sure of next step as left most of belongings including passport in Katmandu.

Don't worry too much, as long as he's safe. If he's lost his passport the British Embassy will sort him out. It will be a learning experience for him.
