Getting old but not past it

Went out for the first time wearing my new lycra shorts ( when my wife was out).
I am very impressed with how comfortable they are compared to normal shorts.
Ok, I don't have the figure of TDF riders but once you sit on the bike, they look ok.
When you are off the bike, then it is a different story. It is very much like old ladies wearing leggings, not a pretty sights!
So when I get home,I rush inside quick to change into something more..... elegant shall we say.
Now, my wife is away for the next 10 days so I shall make full use of them but after that , who knows?
