MACCLESFIELD WHEELERS are a local cycling club comprising over 200 members specialising in all forms of cycling activities - from pleasure riding to road racing.
Each week the club promotes several Saturday afternoon rides for fast road, leisurely road riders and MTB riders. Meeting at the Fermain Club Macclesfield, situated at the end of Beswick Street off Oxford Road. The afternoon ride covers approximately 25 to 40 miles and includes a stop at a café. The distance depends on the terrain and time of year. There are also longer club runs of up to 80 miles on Sundays.
On a regular basis the club promotes a leisurely Saturday afternoon ride for beginners, as well as welcoming former cyclists who wish to start again. Newcomers to cycling are looked after by experienced club members. A moderate pace is maintained and no one is ever left behind!
