I went for a ride around London yesterday.

I could not believe how many mad cyclist there were!

They were riding fast along crowded footpaths weaving in and out of people. Even on the roads so many jumped the lights, crossing lanes in front of other vehicles. In traffic build ups at junctions also weaving in and out of traffic.

Some were wearing the flash cycling lycra gear others in casual clothing and even city gents in suits - Bleedin' nutters!

I commute to E18 and have never seen so many inconsiderate cyclists.

It's no wonder we have such a bad name.

Um, you're allowed to cycle on the side of the Thames there mate.

I know that but I was shocked at the speed they were going. Yesterday was very busy along there with all the tourists and school holidays.

I cycle that route and I'm careful and slow, it's a lovely ride but I'd expect cyclists to slow down cos of meandering, distracted tourists. You can get from London bridge to Waterloo without crossing a road, although you are supposed to get off and walk by the Oxo Tower. You are also banned from cycling across the Millennium Bridge but many do, one chap was going way to fast so I shoulder charged him and he shouted and circled back round to confront me.

"You're making life harder for every cyclist in London!"

I said, which deflated him a bit.

It was done dangerously.
Under what definition. Did it just look to you like it was dangerous cos you wouldn't do it yourself?

Skilful traffic weaving can look really dangerous when it is in fact perfectly safe

Point taken, it must also be frustrating for cyclists to have the route blocked by pedestrians.

It's just my opinion.

When you say weaving through traffic I assume you mean cars on the road, I don't think of pedestrians when you say traffic
