The title sounds like a recipe for disaster but after reading the reviews on this manufacturer and seeing the bike in the flesh I just had to have it. The quality of the product is outstanding and the bike is very comfortable for century rides

This is the Trigon RQC-27 with Sram Force and now fitted with hand build Ambrosio Excellight rims on Hope Pro3 hubs with Sram TI skewers.

I've changed the compact chainset for a 53T-39, some Lizard Skin tape, Dura Ace 9000 carbon pedals the wheels as above and everything else is original
All I can say is it's awesome

As bought

There's not many factories in Taiwan, many make bikes for the big brands as well as smaller brands so I wouldn't have any qualms buying Taiwansese.

If you did a bit of digging this frame may well wear a big brand name tag somewhere in the World.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Looks like a nice bike. I wouldn't mind buying a bike made in taiwan, after all a a lot of goods we buy these days are made there. They are probably just as good at making bikes now as anyone is.

The frame is only made for Trigon although the company do make different frames for many of the high end Italian companies

Yes the valves are long, but when you get them for free it would be a shame not to use them.

Thanks for the tip about the rain, I completely forgot they turned to mush in the wet

Yes the Pro3 hubs are loud, but not quite as bad as the Chris King hubs IMO

I've no experience of CK hubs, and TBH I doubt I ever will with their cost

I had a pair of wheels built with Pro3 hubs and Mavic Open Sports rims, but even though they rode nicely I had to sell them on due to the noise of the f/w, I just couldn't stand it. Loud f/w's are OK on MTB's but not on a road bike IMO.

Horses for courses and all that
