Firstly, bit nippy this morning.

Secondly, I have magic feet!!

Everytime as I cruised to a standstill at lights, the moment I unclipped one foot and put it down the lights changed to green.

So if you want lights to change in your favour in South London, just be 10 feet behind me at lights. As I unclip, you can start to accelerate!!

I've got my own magic foot already.

Me too... We need to be pretty careful IMHO, as there are at least two magic feet in SE London, and (as we don't share a pelvis) are most likely causing all manner of traffic upsets.

See you out there some time. I'm the guy wobbling towards the lights at ever decreasing speeds knowing full well they'll change as soon as I give up.

Oh, c'mon, there's nothing new about that. The Children of Israel did it with the Red Sea. Sadly, the Egyptians didn't have any cyclists amongst them.

On the other hand, with a decent satnav, they'd have got to the promised land in about 4-6 weeks instead of 40 years. Bit unreliable, those pillars of smoke and fire.

mine must be slightly magic, I slow very early, roll up and then stand for a moment, eventually unclip, then they change as a posse of clunkers goes speeding past me, again

With today being only the third time i have been out on my new bike I could relate to this today. The first set of lights i reached i almost forgot i was clipped in and managed to release my foot at the last second, only for the lights to change.

HEHE, my magic feet don't change lights but they move traffic at roundabouts. Like this morning, slip in behind the 6 cars waiting to go round the roundabout, they all move off, no traffic on roundabout at all. I get to the roundabout and what do you know, cars all over the place leaving me to unclip at the most in-opportune moment. Foot on the floor and no more traffic.

It's a conspiracy I tell ya !!

I don't seem to have magic feet, but my truck seems to have a magic handbrake that works on the same principle.

To make railway level crossings open, I have to actually stop the engine as well, though.
