It's actually true. Considering getting a 5000 lumen light. I ride fast, in unlit country lanes. If there's a piece of squirrel sh*t 30 metres ahead I want to know about it. A little driver dazzle at 6.30am helps to wake them up.

I've just bought one of these. They're exceedingly bright. :eek:

As a comparison with the Hope 1 (current model),on the lower setting it's a bit brighter than the Hope on its full power setting. The Magicshine has a wider beam of light, but it's much whiter so possibly a bit too stark compared with the softer, slightly yellow light from the Hope. I'll see how it copes with the moors on the way between Manchester & Morecambe tomorrow night.
