I once found a shell on the beach.

But did you need the bomb disposable people over, on the advice of my copper mate, he walked slowly backwards and told Pam to phone them. There is a lot more to this story but I will save it for another day.

Not for me thanks. I don't like the taste of magnets.

I misunderstood the thread title and expected something from my childhood.

They do it up here on the Chesterfield canal. Usually tie up with a local scrap man to take away the junk

It's a bit like metal detecting on land isn't it? Hours of your life wasted in the hope of finding that big one.

Mate made a few quid flogging lock handles to bargists. At one point he had about 30 handles all pulled fromcthe same lock.

We found a bomb in the garden once, no desire to find any more.
Not planted by a grumpy neighbour I hope.

I rather think Drago meant shell as in 'sea shell'.

I know he did, hence my reply. What you doing about today, should be over in New Brighton enjoying the sights and sounds, we love that place on a bank holiday.
Soz, I was a bit slow there.
We actually enjoy New Brighton when its buzzing. It brings back childhood and youth memories.
What I dont like is a sunny bank holiday journey.....I just wont do it.
