Magura rim brakes question.

Magura learning curve continues...

Currently working on a bike with Magura HS11 brakes, and hitting two issues :

Firstly the cam attachment seemed to be a bit loose, and the hex key adjustment on the lug attached to the bike is damaged. I think I dealt with that one by removing the brake and turning the lug on the screw with a 9mm spanner.

Secondly the brake blocks are too far from the wheels. All online assistance seems to say "Just move the cylinders closer to the rim". Well, that works for about 1mm but I still have about 3-4mm to go on each side.

There is what looks like an adjustment screw on the brake handles.

This won't turn.

Is it possible to adjust these brakes some other way, or is it time to give upon the bike?

Have you tried taking the brackets off as they are offset and change them over. Then the piston unit will be closer to the rim. Done that with the HS66 brakes on the tandem. Are the brake pistons able to be moved inward when the bracket is loosened ?
