Maiden Voyage on New Bike #Beaming

Hi guys.

So. After having a sick day yesterday. I managed to get the energy to go collect my bike from the shop after they did the necessary bits to get it safe to ride.

I decided to get some fresh air this morning after going to bed super early and not having to be at work till 1130.

I was super excited to get on the bike and it definitely did NOT disappoint me.

Apart from definitely needing a slighlty comfier saddle. The ride was amazing! I definitely felt the hills were easier to get up. I felt like I was hardly pushing myself and it sounds strange to say but it almost regulated my pace.

I did a fair distance this morning and I was so happy to see that I've nearly added 1 miles to my average Mph from riding the Diverge and almost 2 miles extra average from my Specialized Globe Vienna (I know it's not a good idea to compare because the two bikes are world's apart) but still it's interesting.

Overall I am incredibly happy and this bike fits me so well and having pad brakes is definite godsend as I was going pretty fast! And I definitely more confident to take it to the Cyclopark tomorrow.

I've bought a VEL red bottle cage. But yeah. I need a new bottle...I'm slowly getting the stuff

You're right, that saddle does look uncomfortable

New bikes are always faster. I think it could have something to do with the daft smiley face you can't help pulling being more aerodynamic

Hehe @Gary E !! I was smiling as I stopped to check my phone as it was ringing and saw my average around 3/4 of the way round. I was like OMGGG

Calorie burn looks a bit optimistic. I could do with using that app and afford myself some more cake after a ride.

I never look at the calorie part tbh!! It's a very good app for everything else though
