I loved his movement at the end. I thought he might struggle in the sprint but it looks like he was the stronger man as you say, hats off to him :-)

Agreed.

I thought that he would drop of the pace towards the latter end of the race. But fair play to him, he wanted that first place, come what may.

Anyone else read the interview with him in Procycling a couple of months ago?

He said ANC-Halfords was shambolic, then went to Fagor, which was even worse! I got the impression he loved his time in the US though. Even so, he really could have been a big star in Europe if he'd had the right luck. I guess the timing was unfortunate - look at how much easier it is for English speaking riders now.

Anyway, chapeau! to him.
