mallorca cycling

I'm going to be spending Easter in Mallorca, staying up in the north at can picafort. I plan to break up the holiday by hiring a bike and cycling the odd day. I've planned a circular route going east towards Manacor, cala millor then back through santa margalida. Looking like around 80km. Any other similar day or half day routes?

Any similar loop ride from there will be enjoyable, heading to Inca and Soller are really good. You will probably be among thousands of other cyclists at that time of year. If you are unaware there is a good cycle hire place in Can Picafort on the main bypass road.

Tourist info in town has a free booklet with marked cycle rides for all of the island. Probably get them in the bike shop as well. "Wheels" bike hire shop has their own map for about 6 euros with more of a set of proper road rides marked out rather than the tourist ones. Its a good quality waterproof offering. Well worth the money IMO.

Me and partner just completing a lap of the island. The ride out to the cap formentor is a must - the prettiest ride I've ever done. The mountains also a must.
Soller/Deia and a useful converted monastery at Lluc for overnight. The place to hire is Max Huerzeler in Alcudia. They have 600 bikes !!
