Been to Malta several times, lived there with the RAF, but we always stay in Gozo about an hours drive from the airport and catch the ferry. The Gozo population just love the British. Photo is the Azure window now collapsed into the sea.

But is there anything much to do there except look at the sea?
We aren't getting the wheelchair across those rocks!

You have the blue lagoon, the historic city of Mdina, Valetta and the Three Cities the temples on Gozo (apparently these are wheelchair friendly).
Melliha bay and Golden bay are wheelchair friendly. The catacombs are probably out, but the Tarxien Temples have wheelchair access.

Also boat trips.

Ah. Gozo's basically a day out to see the temples. It's only tiny. If you get lucky there will be a village festival which does a passable imitation of a war zone with very loud daytime fireworks!

Gozo is one of the worlds most popular islands for scuba diving and as we do snorkeling in the beautiful clear warm water.
There’s some excellent restaurants and the fireworks displays at every village during the festival season. Last year it was getting too hot for us late June so beware it gets very hot in the mid somer time.

Yes, the temples on Gozo are wheelchair friendly and the busses accept wheelchairs too. Mind you taxis are inexpensive if you use Uber save a fortune.
